Janine Johnston is the Clinical Manager of KidsPeace Georgia Wellness & Behavioral Health Center, the primary provider that offers clinical services to the residents that have been placed with the KidsPeace National Centers of Georgia’s residential program and youth who live in the local community. Janine joined KidsPeace in July 2009 after serving as the Clinical Manager for a Child & Adolescent Crisis Stabilization Unit. She has also served as the Program Manager of a Residential Program where she supervised a staff treating some of Georgia’s most challenging youth. She has also worked with community-based programs in New York and Georgia where she served as a Lead Family Therapist, Mobile Assessor, Sexual Abuse Case Management Coordinator and Family Specialist. Prior to starting her professional career, Janine received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Concordia College in Saint Paul, Minnesota and her Masters of Social Work from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Janine is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and recently completed a Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Learning Collaborative sponsored by the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) out of the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute.
