Carlie James, LCSW is the Assistant Director of Clinical Services at KidsPeace New England, she has been a part of the team since early 2015. Graduating from the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelors in social work, Carlie went on to complete a one year accelerated educational program in order to obtain her masters in social work. As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) Carlie’s focus has always been therapeutic work with children, adolescents, and families. Carlie has devoted a large part of her career as a psychiatric clinician focusing on CBT group work and play therapy. As an administrator, Carlie has dedicated her time to training staff as well as providing clinical supervision in order to help those around her understand the nature of client’s behaviors. Carlie currently oversees four case managers and five clinicians, with hopes to expand these programs in order to provide clinical services to an underserved and remote population.
