KidsPeace has been named a 2025 “Culture Leader” by Kudos®, a leading employee recognition, rewards and corporate culture platform provider. The organization is one of only eighteen organizations across North America to receive the “Culture Leader” designation from Kudos.
According to Kudos’ announcement: “This year’s winners distinguished themselves through their unwavering commitment to meaningful employee recognition, proving that genuine appreciation is the cornerstone of strong, connected teams. Applications impressed with innovative initiatives ranging from dynamic well-being programs to creative engagement strategies that inspire and empower employees every day.”
KidsPeace’s recognition platform, Kudos4KidsPeace, is made available to all employees (known as “associates”) after orientation. Through the Kudos4KidsPeace website and app, associates can thank and compliment co-workers for their contributions to the care that children and young people receive through KidsPeace’s programs. They also can give colleagues “Kudos points” – which are redeemable for gift cards and branded merchandise through the online platform.
The platform also serves as a resource for corporate news and announcements, recognition of personal milestones like birthdays and work anniversaries, and a forum to share interests in an interactive way – such as a popular “Pet Contest” in which associates offered photos and stories about their animal companions.
In 2025 KidsPeace saw 90% of associates across all programs activate accounts on Kudos, and of those more than 60% participate regularly on the platform – posting, distributing points, and commenting on messages from fellow associates. Participation in Kudos4KidsPeace is cited as a factor in the impressive improvement in retention of nurses and other skilled professionals at the organization during the past year.
KidsPeace President and CEO Michael W. Slack credited KidsPeace’s associate engagement group with finding innovative ways to enhance the platform’s capabilities to meet the specific needs of the organization. But he also noted Kudos4Kidspeace’s success is due in large part to all associates who participate on the platform.
“At KidsPeace, our dedicated associates are the reason for our success in fulfilling our mission to give hope, help and healing to children, adults and those who love them,” Mr. Slack said. “They are the ones using Kudos4KidsPeace to recognize and support their colleagues, so our designation as a Kudos Culture Leader is in a very real way their achievement as well.”
