For more than a decade, KidsPeace has provided a place where kids with autism are welcomed and cared for during their summer break from school. The program, called Sarah’s Smile, has proved to be very popular with families and youth – and it may not have any bigger fan than a young man named Gio.
In the latest installment of our “KidsPeace Stories” video series, we meet Gio and learn from his infectious enthusiasm how important Sarah’s Smile is to him and his friends in the program – helping them develop and maintain their communication and coping skills during the summer months.
