St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Apex, NC, made a heartfelt gift to support The Hope Center for Youth and Family Crisis, funded by Alliance and operated by KidsPeace, in Fuquay Varina, NC, extending compassion and care to children and families in crisis.
The Hope Center provides critical support to children and families experiencing mental and behavioral health challenges, offering stabilization, healing, and hope during some of life’s most difficult moments. As the need for mental health services continues to grow across the community, this support could not be more meaningful.
The gift was made through the parish’s Charity Task Force, which had the privilege of considering several organizations before thoughtfully selecting KidsPeace. After careful deliberation, the task force felt KidsPeace was the right choice – one that strongly aligned with the church’s mission and values.
“St. Andrew the Apostle Parish embodies the message of loving service and believes in being called to extend helping hands to those facing adversity, injustice, discrimination, and despair,” says Katherine Fontenot-Gomez from the church’s Charity Task Force. “In recent years, parish leaders recognized an increase in children and families experiencing mental health crises and saw KidsPeace as an organization providing essential care, healing, and hope when it is needed most.
Grounded in a belief in protecting the sanctity of life and treating every person with dignity and respect, the parish shared that KidsPeace’s commitment to caring for the emotional and behavioral needs of children deeply reflects these values.
