Total Wine & More hosts wine tasting to benefit KidsPeace Foster Care and Community Programs of Maryland and D.C. 

The 8th annual charity event will be held May 2 at the Laurel, Md., store

 

LAUREL, Md. – Sample a variety of wines, meet the Oriole Bird and learn more about KidsPeace Foster Care and Community Programs at a charity wine tasting event May 2 at Total Wine & More in Laurel, Md.

This is the eighth year for the event, which raises money for children in foster care in Maryland and D.C. Admission is free, and the tasting is 6 to 9 p.m. at the store at 3321 Corridor Marketplace. 

Thirty percent of all Winery Direct sales that evening will be donated to KidsPeace. We look forward to your participation and support. Sponsors include Total Wine & More, OneMain Financial, The Baltimore Orioles and W.R. Grace. There are some fabulous auction prizes including: 

  • A Baltimore Orioles VIP package of four diamond tickets and access to on-field batting practice 
  • Angela and Buck Showalter invite you to enjoy their personal club box for 14 (seating for 10) on a mutually agreed upon date during the 2013 Orioles season. A parking pass is included; catering is not included. 
  • A private cupcake decorating party for up to eight people with TLC's “DC Cupcakes.” Each guest will learn how to make fondant decorations, frost cupcakes with Georgetown Cupcake's “signature swirl” and take home a dozen hand-decorated cupcakes and a gift bag.  
  • OneMain Financial’s “Crew Member for a Day” race experience, which includes 2 NASCAR Nationwide series pit passes to the Sept. 28 race at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Del.; a private meet-and-greet with NASCAR driver Elliott Sadler; a guided tour of the NASCAR Nationwide series garage and the OneMain Financial team hauler; pre-race pictures by the No. 11 OneMain Financial car out on the track; a OneMain Racing hat and T-shirt for both attendees and radio scanner usage and seats at the team pit box during the race.
