About The Lee Salk Center for Research
The Lee Salk Center for Research is a division of the KidsPeace Institute; it provides the scientific and statistical foundation for our treatment options and prevention materials. A diverse coalition of nationally recognized child experts, family advisors and business, industry and community leaders work together to examine specific issues that impact today’s families.

Research and Education Goals:
- Encourage the growth of strong, supportive families
- Give America’s children and their caregivers a voice in the public arena
- Improve childcare methods and techniques through a research-based approach
- Develop, refine, and disseminate effective parenting techniques
- Collaborate with strategic partners to expand knowledge of child behavioral healthcare treatment
- Further knowledge and understanding of children and their environments
- Educate parents about child-nurturing strategies
- Create an information data bank on childcare and family issues
