KidsPeace 5K Family Fun Mud Run promises hills, obstacles, plenty of dirt for a good cause

N. WHITEHALL TWP. – Scale a wall, crawl through a tunnel, embrace your Spiderman side on a cargo net and splash through lots and lots of mud Saturday at the second annual KidsPeace Family Fun Mud Run.

Nearly 550 runners are already signed up for the adventure course, which combines 14 obstacles and plenty of hills on the 250-acre Orchard Hills Campus at 5300 KidsPeace Drive in North Whitehall Township. Online registration has closed, but you can still sign up in person on race day. Flight times are between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event includes the 5K and a 1-mile walk/run for anyone younger than 18. Children ages 4 to 6 may participate in a FREE 100-yard dash. Don’t want to bother cleaning your muddy sneakers after the race? Drop them in our donation bins before you leave. For additional details, contact Gina Stano at 610-799-8071 or visit www.kidspeace.org/events. Stay updated on last-minute details on our race Facebook page.
