PPL and KidsPeace Present: Bullying 2.0, From Identification to Intervention
FOUNTAIN HILL – Bullying is a serious concern, and KidsPeace and PPL are partnering to ensure more families and education professionals are ready to combat it.
A bullying seminar, “PPL and KidsPeace Present: Bullying 2.0, From Identification to Intervention,” will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 16 at the KidsPeace Family Center Gymnasium at CDTRC, 1650 Broadway, Bethlehem.
Dr. Julius Licata, Ph.D., and Dr. Andrew Clark, M.D., will examine how to identify and stop bullying in today’s fast-paced environment. They will be joined by special guest and teen advocate Lauren Foose, who has made a name for herself by sharing her own experiences with bullying and speaking out against it.
Licata and Clark will hit on hot topics like cyber bullying as well discuss how the groundbreaking teen website, TeenCentral.Net, can be a safe place for teens online. This presentation will address the most frequently asked questions, provide interventions that can be implemented immediately and share resources to help teens, families and education professionals address this issue.
Act 48 training hours will be offered, and light refreshments will be served. To register, call 610-799-7170 or go to pacourseregistration@kidspeace.org.
