KidsPeace groups help children build social skills, cope with bullying
FOUNTAIN HILL – Growing up can be tough, but KidsPeace offers groups to help children and teens feel more at ease in social situations.
Our Teen Asperger’s Group helps middle school-aged children with Asperger’s disorder build social skills. The group meets at 5 p.m. Wednesdays.
Our Preschool Autistic Spectrum Group, for children ages 3 to 7, helps develop early social skills through group involvement. It meets at 5 p.m. Mondays.
Coping with Bullying is a group to help middle school kids overcome the effects of being bullied. It will be held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays, starting July 10.
All groups are held at 1650 Broadway and are run by a licensed clinician. Insurance companies are billed, so the only fee is any applicable co-pay.
Anyone interested in signing up a child for one of the groups should call 610-799-8600 and ask for Lauren, Maryellen or Fritzie.
KidsPeace is proud to celebrate 130 years of giving hope, help and healing to children, families and communities. For more information, like our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/kidspeaceorg or follow us on Twitter @KidsPeace.
