Family Consultant Responsibilities: - Provides case management services to an average of 8 court involved cases. - Imparts counseling to foster children and families in order to secure healthy and nurturing environments. - Ensures that the client receives essential and court ordered services. - Conducts weekly home visits. - Facilitates team treatment meetings. - Maintains accurate, organized, and timely documentation of all client interactions. - Acts as an advocate and safety net to clients. - Assists with foster family recruitment when needed. Applicants must posses the ability to: - Multi-task in an often changing and sometimes unpredictable environment. - Handle crisis situations. - Be a team player. - Communicate effectively through writing and speaking (in both public and private settings)

Requirements
BA or BS required, MSW preferred. Personal transportation required. Foster Care experience preferred. Bi-lingual English and Spanish speaking preferred. The candidate must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance and a Child Abuse History Clearance which are processed by KidsPeace as well as possess a valid Driver's License. The candidate must pass a Physical & Drug Screening & possess the ability to attend and successfully complete all KidsPeace sponsored trainings.
