Susquehanna Bank donates to KidsPeace through EITC

S. WHITEHALL TWP. – Oct. 23, 2013 – Susquehanna Bank is the latest company to donate scholarship money to KidsPeace through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.

Susquehanna Bank officials handed over a check for $2,665.50 today at the bank branch on West Tilghman Street. The funding will provide educational assistance for eligible children at KidsPeace.

The PA EITC offers tax credits to eligible businesses that support select local non-profit organizations. Any business that makes a contribution to KidsPeace through the EITC receives a tax credit equal to 75 percent of its contribution up to a maximum of $300,000 per taxable year. The credit increases to 90 percent of the contribution for any business that promises the same amount for two consecutive years. For more information on the program, visit the PA Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) website.
