Uncork for a Cause presents fine food, wine to support national children’s charity KidsPeace

 

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. – Hotel Indigo and Francis Ford Coppola Winery are joining forces to present a memorable evening of fine food and wine pairings to support national children’s charity KidsPeace.

Uncork for a Cause will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 5 at Hotel Indigo, 80 Allen Road, Basking Ridge. Tickets are $75 per guest and can be purchased by calling Leslie at 908-580-1300. KidsPeace, which is headquartered in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania, offers behavioral and mental health care to children and teenagers in 10 states and Washington D.C. Services include a psychiatric hospital, residential treatment facilities, therapeutic foster care and community programs.

“In the spirit of hospitality we are honored to hold the Uncork for a Cause event at the Hotel Indigo to benefit KidsPeace,” said Sonny Patel, a KidsPeace Maryland Board of Associates member and CEO of RevMax Hospitality Management, which owns Hotel Indigo. “Francis Ford Coppola Winery produces spectacular wine and we are pleased to partner with such a fine company to help children!”

The four-course event includes: scallops and bacon ala tarragon, paired with 2011 Votre Sante Chardonnay; butternut squash shooter, paired with Coppola Rossa and Bianco Pinot Grigio; rack of lamb with shitake mushroom, paired with Coppola Rosso and Bianco Rosso, or French-cut roasted breast of chicken, paired with Francis Coppola Diamond Sauvignon Blanc; and a medley of raspberries, strawberries and blueberries with Zabaglione sauce topped with pure chocolate shavings, paired with Su Yuen Riesling or Su Yuen Blended Red.
