OneMain Financial collects school supplies for KidsPeace foster youth

BALTIMORE – The employees of OneMain Financial helped foster youth in Maryland and Washington D.C. get ready to go back to school.

During the month of August, the company collected $2,500 worth of school supplies, including binders, notebooks, planners, markers and other items necessary for the start of the school year.

“OneMain Financial is truly committed to our community where we do business,” said OneMain volunteer leadership council member Christine Guido. “We are thrilled our employees gave so generously to help the local foster youth of KidsPeace.”

Guido got the chance to watch the youth “shop” for supplies they needed at an end-of-summer cookout and game day held for foster families.

“The volunteer leadership council and employees of OneMain Financial have been avid supporters of KidsPeace and the foster youth we serve,” said Gina Seyfried, Volunteer Coordinator. “Their generosity is never ending and their impact meaningful. We are honored to have such a committed partner that has wrapped its support around the foster families and children.”
