Run the Jingle in July 5K to support KidsPeace Foster Care

WYOMISSING – Join Santa and his elves July 13 on a magical 5K run or 1-mile walk through Gring’s Mill Park to support KidsPeace’s Reading Foster Care and Community Programs office.

The race begins at 8:30 a.m. at the barn at 2083 Tulpehocken Road, Wyomissing (near the Penn State Berks campus). The course is wheel measured, shaded and on a mostly flat, cinder path. Registration starts at 7 a.m., and food, awards and raffles will follow the race.

Costumes are encouraged, and there will be awards for best group, best jingle and best overall. Santa, elves and sugar plum fairies all turned out for last year’s race.

A race-day toy drive will be held, and participants are asked to donate unwrapped toys or gift cards for children and young adults from infants through age 21. Everything collected will be distributed during the holiday season.
