Sam’s Club provides $1,000 grant to KidsPeace New England to help forestry program

Grant presented to KidsPeace New England during a check presentation ceremony today at 16 KidsPeace Way, Ellsworth, Maine

Ellsworth, Maine – Sam’s Club announced today a $1,000 grant to KidsPeace New England to help their forestry program. The grant was presented to KidsPeace New England at a check presentation ceremony at 16 KidsPeace Way.

“Sam’s Club is committed to helping address unmet needs in the communities where we serve,” said Chris Wilcox. “Our support for KidsPeace New England underscores this commitment, and we are hopeful that through our grant, residents in Maine will continue to enjoy KidsPeace New England’s commitment to children and the environment.”

Through this grant, KidsPeace will be able to improve the experience each child receives through participation in the forestry program. We will purchase new gear, tools and educational materials. In addition, the forestry program will also purchase supplies for the ongoing sawhorse project.

KidsPeace is appreciative to both the Wal-Mart Foundation and Sam’s Club in Bangor for their support of our program at the Graham Lake Campus in Ellsworth. We look forward to using the materials purchased for years to come.
